This is the story of Eva, a Cree teenage girl, and her journey through the maze of a White Man’s high school. It is a hilarious quest for identity and spirituality through the hallways of teen angst, racism, and an evil prom queen.
“Darla Contois’s powerful new solo drama about a Cree teenager’s struggle to fit in at a new school delves deep into the web of social, historical and systemic challenges that many Indigenous youth face in their day-to-day lives that often get overlooked by others.” – Now Toronto
“Darla Contois is an engaging storyteller and this is a hard-hitting performance not to be overlooked… Contois is an artist one should look to with eager anticipation; her White Man’s Indian is indeed a force to be reckoned with.” – Mooney on Theatre
