is a Canadian indie-rock band originally from Salt Spring Island BC. Shane Hooper (vocals, rhythm guitar,) Dexter Nash (lead guitar,) and Noah O’Neil (bass) formed the trio in high school recording and releasing an EP of original songs. Their unique version of “dad-rock” proved to be a winning formula, and they quickly generated a west-coast following, tours and three EP’s. Upon relocating to Toronto in 2016 the group transitioned into a five piece adding members Andrew Taylor (drums) and Sam Lewis (keyboard, trumpet, vocals). Their high energy live show has built them an avid audience, via their performances in Toronto clubs and tours in Ontario and Quebec. Lovers Touch most recent EP “Something Songs” was awarded a spot in the Top 25 underground indie albums of 2016 by Nerdist Magazine. Currently the band is planning the release of a new single paving the way to their first full length album, expected for 2018.
Electronic groove has shone brightly on JayWood, illuminating the multi-faceted sound with lightning bolts of funk, psych-rock and pop. Comfortable within these jumbled spaces, JayWood’s rhythm is ever-changing, but always consistently emerging triumphant!
Music without a face. Experimental Love-Pop from YWG. A type of living sculpture. Clipping and trimming musical soundscapes into ornamental shapes.
