Yoel Jimenez (http://yoel-jimenez.com/
) completes their drayway installation on the evening of Friday September 7th. Our goal is to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for the public to come, have a drink, and watch the installation.
We are looking for people who can volunteer their time for September 7th. The lounge is open from 4pm to 11pm. The shifts run from 4pm-7pm and 7pm-11pm. We are pretty flexible with the time you can volunteer. Let us know what times you can do and we will slot you in.
We are looking for volunteers for any of the three following positions:
Bartenders (Serving it Safe required) – You will serve alcoholic beverages to the public within the art lounge. This role also requires you to handle cash.
Rovers/Ambassadors/Artist Assistant – For this position, a number of tasks may be required including: bar backing, helping with the door, garbage pick up, assisting with the artist, and any other tasks that may arise. Depending on the amount of volunteers, we may split you up between roles or require you to bounce around.
*Door people – This position requires you to watch the entranceway at one end of the tunnel and to ID people as they enter.
*We will have an indoor component that will require a few volunteers inside the building acting as guides.
Interested people are encouraged to send an email to Artspace at [email protected]
In the email, include your name, contact info, past volunteer experience, availability and the position you are applying for. Include any questions that you may have about the lounge.
Also, this project is possible thanks to the generous support from the Johnston Group, HTFC Planning, Farmery, AUX:Projects. Scatliff + Murray, Barkman Concrete and the Exchange Biz.
Thank you for taking your time to consider this opportunity.
