Outlet Collection Winnipeg presents the Summer Storytelling Fest in partnership with the Winnipeg Public Library. Visit us from June 22 to 24 for free workshops, storytimes, face painting, live family entertainment and more!

Friday, June 22

2 PM | Face Painting

2:30 PM | Frozen Storytime

4 PM | Storytelling through Song with Aaron Burnett

All Day | Crafts, games and a photo booth with the Winnipeg Library

Aaron Burnett has a wealth of experience in early years education. Throughout his teaching career, Aaron always used his acoustic guitar and his love of music to enrich the learning of the students in his care.

Saturday, June 23

12 PM | Castlemoon Presents the Paper Bag Princess Puppet Show and Workshop*

One of Robert Munsch’s most popular stories, come to life with a princess, a prince, and the castle. But we've forgotten the most important character! The dragon, of course. Each child will create their own dragon puppet, with a movable mouth, and stick-on wings, scales, tongue, and eyes! We will then read the story, with their puppets playing the important dragon roll! They will fly around the world, and perhaps even write their own ending.

12:30 PM | Face Painting

1 PM | Manitoba Young People’s Theatre present Caitlin Curtis and Stephen Sim

2 PM | Author Kathleen Arnason reads the Huldufolk

Kathleen is a beat selling Canadian Author with eleven published books including the Huldufolk series, set in Gimli Manitoba.

3 PM | Storytelling through Song with Jake Chenier

Juno Award Nominee Jake 'Jacques' Chenier is a world renown children's entertainer, musician, and songwriter.

4 PM | Manitoba Young People’s Theatre present Caitlin Curtis and Stephen Sim

5 PM | Folk Tales From Southern Manitoba with Leigh-Anne Kehler

Leigh-Anne Kehler is from Southern Manitoba and has traveled the world performing both traditional folklore and stories of growing up on a lively farm. She has been featured at Canadian Children’s Festivals, the Yukon Storytelling festival, the Sundog Storytelling Festival, and has performed in schools and libraries across North America, Asia, and Scandinavia. She has worked extensively in schools teaching through storytelling and performances arts.

10 AM | Manifest This! Live Podcast with Ashley Wood feat. Portia-ella Julie Michaud

Ashley Wood is a spiritual and intuitive guide, lightworker, Akashic Records reader and mother dedicated to empowering women to live their best life. She is the host of Manifest This!, an internationally recognized and respected podcast and also a long-time contributor to Cameron Diaz’s website, The Body Book. She is passionate about vegan living, yoga, animals and the outdoors. She resides in Winnipeg, Canada with her husband Ben, daughter Ivy and cats Bose and Feesh. Together they create and produce Manifest This! and own Lot 49 Dairy-Free Foods.
